Air freight is charged on the greater of actual weight or volumetric (chargeable) weight. Volumetric weight = Length (cm) x Width (cm) x Height (cm) / 6000. For example, a 10 kg package measuring 50x40x30 cm has a volumetric weight of 10 kg (50x40x30/6000 = 10). We help you optimize packaging to minimize chargeable weight.
Standard air freight (5-10 days) is consolidated cargo shipped via commercial airlines and freighters, with a 45 kg minimum. Express courier (3-5 days) uses DHL, FedEx, or UPS networks with door-to-door tracking and no minimum weight. Express is faster but 30-50% more expensive per kg. For shipments over 100 kg, standard air is significantly cheaper.
