Amazon FBA Labels Templates
Amazon FBA requires specific labels on every product, box, and pallet. Incorrect or missing labels result in Amazon refusing your shipment or charging relabeling fees ($0.30-$1.00 per unit).
1. FNSKU Product Labels
Every individual unit shipped to Amazon FBA must have an FNSKU barcode label, unless the product has a manufacturer barcode that Amazon has approved for Stickerless inventory.
FNSKU Barcode
Code-128 or UPC-A barcode + human-readable text below (e.g., X001ABCDEF)
Product Title
Short product description (truncated to fit label width)
Condition
"New" (or other condition if applicable)
Label Material
White, opaque, removable adhesive. Must cover any existing barcodes completely.
Placement
On a flat surface of the product packaging. Not on curves, corners, or opening seams.
⚠ Critical: If your product has an existing UPC/EAN barcode on the packaging, you MUST cover it with the FNSKU label. Amazon's scanners may read the wrong barcode and associate your inventory with another seller's product. Use opaque FNSKU labels (not transparent) to fully cover existing barcodes.
2. Shipping Labels (Carton Labels)
Each carton/case in an FBA shipment must have a shipping label on the outside.
Amazon Logo
Amazon smile logo (top of label)
Ship From
Your business name and address
Ship To
Amazon fulfillment center name and address (e.g., LAX9, 1234 W Carson St, Torrance, CA 90502)
Shipment ID
e.g., FBA15ABCDEF
Box Number
e.g., 1 of 25, 2 of 25, etc.
Barcode
MaxiCode or Code-128 barcode (scannable by carrier)
Placement
On the top or side of each carton. Must be flat, not folded over edges.
3. Box Content Labels
Amazon requires box content information for each carton in the shipment. This can be provided electronically (via 2D barcode) or as a printed label.
2D Barcode
PDF417 or QR code containing box content data (ASIN, FNSKU, quantity per box)
Alternative
Printed list: ASIN, FNSKU, Title, Quantity for each item in the box
Exemption
Boxes containing only one ASIN/SKU are exempt from box content labeling if the quantity is marked on the outside
4. Pallet Labels
If shipping by pallet (LTL/FTL), each pallet requires 4 labels (one on each side).
Shipment ID
e.g., FBA15ABCDEF
Pallet Number
e.g., PLT 1 of 5
Fulfillment Center
FC code (e.g., LAX9)
Barcode
Code-128 or MaxiCode
Placement
4 labels per pallet: one on each of the 4 vertical sides, at eye level

⚠ Common Amazon FBA Labeling Errors That Cause Rejections:
- FNSKU label not covering existing manufacturer barcode
- Shipping label placed on tape seam (becomes unreadable when tape reflects light)
- Missing box content labels on mixed-SKU cartons
- Labels too small (< 1" x 2" for FNSKU) or blurry
- Using inkjet-printed labels that smudge when wet
- Pallet labels only on 1-2 sides instead of all 4
Amazon charges $0.30-$1.00 per unit for relabeling, and may refuse delivery of non-compliant shipments entirely.
