The Shipping Instruction (SI) is submitted to the carrier or forwarder to provide B/L details for issuance. It contains all the information that will appear on the final bill of lading.

⚠ Late SI Penalty: Submitting SI after the carrier's cut-off time incurs a late SI fee (typically $50-150). If SI is submitted after vessel sailing, B/L cannot be issued for that vessel and cargo may roll to the next sailing.
📝 Pro Tip: Always review the B/L DRAFT before confirming. Once the B/L is issued, corrections require an amendment (fee $50-150 per change). The SI is your last chance to verify all details.
