As a rule of thumb, if your shipment is over 15 CBM (cubic meters), FCL is usually cheaper. Under 15 CBM, LCL is more cost-effective. FCL is also faster (no consolidation needed) and safer (container stays sealed from origin to destination). For fragile or high-value goods, we recommend FCL even for smaller volumes.
LCL charges are based on the greater of actual volume (CBM) or volumetric weight (CBM = L x W x H in meters). The minimum chargeable volume is typically 1 CBM. Our quote includes ocean freight, origin charges, destination charges, customs clearance, and delivery — no hidden fees.
For most shipments: commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading. For US imports: ISF (Importer Security Filing) must be submitted 24 hours before vessel sailing. For specific goods: certificates of origin, FDA registration, FCC declaration, or other compliance documents. We guide you through all requirements.
West Coast (Los Angeles, Long Beach): 18-25 days port-to-port. East Coast (New York, Savannah): 28-35 days port-to-port. Add 5-7 days for door-to-door delivery including customs clearance and trucking. During peak season (Aug-Nov), add 3-5 days due to port congestion.
